Why Visit McAuley?
We know what you are thinking. No boys? No way! Think again. Graduates of all-girls’ schools are more confident. More focused. More successful. More likely to be class leaders. They’re also twice as likely to earn a PhD, and twice as likely to have a successful career than girls from co-ed schools.* (Harvard Study)
Still not convinced? That’s why we have an Open House. Each year, Catherine McAuley High School opens its doors to all interested students and their families so that they may see for themselves what McAuley has to offer. McAuley hosts two very different Open House programs each year. There is one very large Open House in the fall and a smaller, less formal, Open House in the spring.
Spring Open House and Student Forum
On March 9, 2011, prospective students and their families are invited to our campus to gain insight into the happenings at McAuley. The program begins at 6:00 with faculty presentations on curriculum as well as a student panel, which discusses their personal experiences at McAuley. Once faculty and student presentations end, we open the floor up for questions and answers. Students and families who are still wondering where they would like to attend high school are welcome to come to this event to get their questions answered.
For more information about our Open Houses, or to register, please contact the Office of Admissions at (207) 797-3802 or our Director of Admissions, Ericka Prefontaine Sanborn, at esanborn@mcauleyhs.org.
Because McAuley is on a rolling admissions basis, it is never too late to begin the admissions process. If you cannot attend an Open House, please feel free to call to schedule a shadow day for your daughter or a personal tour for parents.
