Guidance Overview

The Guidance Department of Catherine McAuley High School focuses on supporting the whole student – academic advisement, college counseling, and personal/social development. Guidance staff members work as a team to provide a support network for students as they adjust to high school life and develop through the four years. Services include academic advising, career and college planning, individual counseling, referrals, consultation and collaboration with students, parents and teachers, academic testing, parent information sessions, and coordination of various services which benefit students.

The Guidance Office also serves as the coordination center for many activities with other departments at McAuley. Course registration, scheduling, and testing are coordinated through Guidance.
